Gmail is the true ultimate email. Forget AOL, forget yahoo, forget godaddy. You got to get GMail! Once you do, you can then get your domain email in your gmail inbox and even send mail and it shows that it came from your domain email. So, why would you want to do this? Due to the never ending battles I face with spammers, the servers are constantly being blocked by someone. GMail doesn't have that problem, so any email that you send through their servers has a better chance of getting to it's destination.
So, to set it up follow the instructions here: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=21289
Keep in mind that your email username will be your full email address and the password will be whatever you setup when you created it. But, the absolute best way is to use the default mailbox. To set that up, go into CPanel and click on Default Address. Choose Forward to Email Address and in the box put your CPanel username. Then save that. Now, go back to Email Account and delete all the email accounts you setup. Make certain that there isn't anything in there that you need first. Now, when you setup the Mail Fetcher in GMail, when it asks you for your email username, put in your CPanel username and password. Then GMail will pull all your email from your default mailbox. Now you can use any email alias that you want without having to setup a separate mailbox.

To set Gmail to send/receive domain mail:
Settings In the settings screen select: Accounts. IN the top section under the: Send Mail As section: click on the link that says: Add another email address Add the name you want to appear in the "from" line of the email to the Name field Enter your domain email address You'll be taken to a new screen where you need to select: Send Verification. You'll need to login to your domain email and click on the verification link in the email from Google. You can either click on the link in the email or you can enter the verification code in the remaining box. Your email address should appear in the top section of settings in the "Send mail as" area. Next you need to scroll down to the next section that says: Get mail from other accounts Click on: Add another mail account Enter your complete domain email address in the first box that pops up. You will then be taken to a new screen where you need to add your email username, which is your complete email address. yourname@yourdomain.com Enter your password for the email account. (This is the password you gave the email account in cpanel when you set it up.) The POP server is mail.yourdomain.com (using your domain name, of course) Leave the port at whatever google has it. If you want, you can tick the box to leave a copy of retrieved mail on the server. (I don't tick any of the boxes except the label box which will probably have your email address in it.) It will take a few minutes for google to retrieve your email the first time but then you should be ready to go.
