ReaCompressor

Zoom

Open ReaCompressor. Click FILE. then BATCH COMPRESSION

Zoom

Select a folder you want to compress the images to. You may need to create a new folder for this so you have all the new resized images in one place for easy access to upload them.

Zoom

Now you want to ADD the image files you need resized. This can be a whole folder or just a few.

1. To select a whole folder click the ADD FILES button and find the folder on your hard drive.

Zoom

1. Click the first image file.
2. Move the scroll bar down so you can view the last file that's in the folder
3. Hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard.
4. While holding the SHIFT key down click the last image file. This should highlight all files in the folder.
5. Click the OPEN button

If you wanted to just select a few from this folder - instead of all of them - you would hold down the CTRL button ( on your keyboard ) and click each file you want to open.

Zoom

You can select the quality of the final resized image using the slider ( circled above ). You can experiment with this, try using 65 here. Once they're resized look at the image ( don't close this session of reacompressor until you're happy with the results ) to see if they look good. If they look blurry or grainy you can redo them at a higher quality setting. There may be some that still aren't below 100kb - in that case just do those separately.

Now you're ready to use your images on the internet.
