Deactivate Categories / Items

To deactivate a category click on the "Categories" link in storeadmin, click to EDIT the category that you wish to set as "Inactive". On the category's edit screen scroll down to the "Active" field and set that to "No". Click "Edit Category" to save it.

IMPORTANT!!! Deactivating a category DOES NOT deactivate the items in that category - if the items are to be unavailable also, you will need to deactivate each of them.

To deactivate an item click on the "Products" link in storeadmin, select your item from the drop down list and click EDIT. Scroll down to the "Active Item" field and set that to "No" - save the item.
